Such Courageous Hard Working People

QUESTION: What particular individuals played key roles?


THESIS: Chaim Weizmann, David Ben-Gurion and Theodor Herzl are three major indivuals that contributed in making Israel an independent nation. 





Now, let’s talk about important people that made contributions to the buildup of the state of Israel. In my opinion there are three major individuals that I would like to mention
.
This first person, David Ben-Gurion, I would explain him as the official founder of Israel; he had fought hard for the independence of this State and had succeeded as a result.  Ben-Gurion was the major Zionist leader and also the executive head of World Zionist Organization which supported the return and protection of Jewish people into Israel. He was the man who pushed and encouraged people into supporting Zionism and helping Israel onto its’ feet. When Israel became an independent state, he became the leader of the Provisional Government then Prime minister of the official government elected in 1949 and helped in building the state’s institution, over looked national projects and he also led the development of Israel.

The second person that became the first president of Israel is Chaim Weizmann. This was in the year 1949 through election and served until 1952 when he died. Weizmann was another leader of the Zionist Organization. He was associated with Britain, since during World War I, Weizmann became really close with the British leader and encouraged him to issue the Balfour Declaration which says:

Dear Lord Rothschild,
I have much pleasure in conveying to you, on behalf of His Majesty's Government, the following declaration of sympathy with Jewish Zionist aspirations which has been submitted to, and approved by, the Cabinet.
"His Majesty's Government view with favour the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people, and will use their best endeavours to facilitate the achievement of this object, it being clearly understood that nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine, or the rights and political status enjoyed by Jews in any other country."
I should be grateful if you would bring this declaration to the knowledge of the Zionist Federation.

The Balfour Declaration was to convince the British troops to support Jewish immigrants, migrating back into Israel. He also assumed that the Arabs would be happy to join the Jewish Commonwealth. Weizmann was indeed a man with determinations; he devoted a humongous portion of his life to enable Jewish people return to their homes and to make Israel an independent state.





One last person that cannot be ignored(at least I think he shouldn't be) is Theodor Herzl, he is known as the founder of Zionism. Without Herzl, there would be no one daring enough to fight for Jewish people. He made Zionism become officially a political movement and an international force. He taught his followers to realize that they are capable of fighting back and bring Jewish people back to their home land. He indeed became the first stepping stone for Ben-Gurion and Weizmann. He pointed out the direction for Israel toward independence. 







These three courageous and respectable men are the founder and builder of the independent State of Israel that we all see today. They gave up their lives to fight for their home and protection to all Jewish people, no matter how people may view them as rationally or irrationally.
