Money, Society and the Government

QUESTION: 
1) What social, political, and economic events (internal & external) shaped the activities of the government?
2) How did the governments address problems within the state itself? Show evidence.




THESIS: Most of the events that shaped the provisional government's activities came from the unstable establishment of independence for Israel, they solve their problems working with resources they own. 


        After Israel was allowed to stand on its' own, a Provisional government was assigned to take care of problems that was occurring or may occur within the nation. Now these are some events that led the government to their activities


  SOCIAL: The most obvious situation would be the division of Israel and Palestine. Once ownership of Israel was announced, problems between Israeli and Palestinian started. Because they simply just cannot live together peacefully, Palestinians whom coincidentally live in the area are not so lucky. Provisional government kicked them out of their houses and they became internal refugees. 




POLITICALIt started since the declaration of independence in Israel and it continues until now. In 1948, the provisional government had to make sure the state stays strong and undefeated since they have no desire of becoming a colony again. This also led to the Arab-Israeli war, when Palestinian Arabs immediately attacked Israel, on the next day of their establishment. As a respond, Israel fought back on full strength. Using their air forces, they destroyed almost all of the Palestinians airplanes. 




ECONOMIC: The economic condition for a new state such as Israel was good for a small while, until the huge growth of Jewish migration from around into Israel. Most immigrants tagged along many children and they are totally dependent on the state for shelter, jobs, food and more. Israel had little natural resources and attracted little foreign investments. With this kind of situation, Israel got low interest loans to help when import needs and the reparation agreement provisional government signed with west Germany also provided Israel's economy with foreign money. 



How effective was the Provisional Government?

QUESTION: Judge the effectiveness of this particular government in regard to its actions and agendas.


THESIS: Once Israel became independent they handled immediate attacks from Palestine victoriously, and they end up leaving 20,000 Palestinians who lived in their area internal refugees. 




Regarding things that happened after the declaration of the independence of Israel, I would conclude that the effectiveness of the Provisional Government was high. On May 14, 1948, being a newly independent state it was unfortunate. One day after the declaration the Palestinian Arabs immediately attacked Israel. Arab armies along with Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Lebanon and Jordan all aimed to destroy the new nation. In the early 1949, Israel was able to defeat the armies and took over half of the land assigned originally for the Arab state. This fighting is also known as the Arab-Israeli War, it started in 1948 and lasted until 1949.





The good thing was, Israel wanted to sign a peace treaty among the countries to stop conflicts and wars, Arabs rejected to accept the existence of Israel even though other countries did not object. In the end no formal treaties were signed.

AND THAT WAS EVEN BEFORE THE OFFICIAL GOVERNMENT!! Meaning that even though the Provisional Government was quite new it was certainly not vulnerable. 

War continued after, Palestinian Arabs once again raided Israel and in return Israel raided back. Egypt blocked Israel from the Suez Canal, so Israel invaded Egypt.




The attacks grew until the UnitedNations had to send in peacekeeping force to stop the never ending conflict.

BUT that is still not the end, after a few years the UN removed their forces. Once the peacekeeping force went Egypt blocked the Strait of Tiran to prevent Israeli ships to pass. In a response, Israel launched an air force strike and in only one day, Arabs’ air forces were almost completely destroyed. This was also known as the Six DayWar.




All of these examples have shown just how strong and stable the State of Israel is.
***This may defeat the purpose of studying the Provisional government of 1948, but then I believe that since the Provisional government itself was effective, it led to an even more strong official government. One factor was probably from the involvement of Weizmann as well, since he helped operate in birth the Provisional and official government of Israel.

I have only been writing about how Jewish people and the nation of Israel have faced so many hardships, without mentioning negative effects they've created on others. That would make my blogs incredibly biased so here we go.


The birth of State of Israel created a land where Jewish people could migrate to after having been exiled for such a long period of time. As we all know, Israel is made from the division of Palestine, meaning that Palestinian live scattered all around many areas, there were also some that lived in a now-Israeli-nation. Once Israel was established, the Provisional government immediately kicked all Palestinians out of their land. 


They even used Palestinian land, possessions and dwelling on their increasing amount of Jewish population. They expelled Palestinians from their homes and replaced 150,000 Jews, they gave houses with of good conditions to government officials. 


To my surprise, they still didn't stop there. 


The provisional government even seized houses from inside the armistice line. People there became internal refugees, trying to find places to stay. Because of this act, the Provisional government left 20,000 Palestinians internal refugee. 
















From that we can basically say that Israel are both bullied and a bully themselves.

Such Courageous Hard Working People

QUESTION: What particular individuals played key roles?


THESIS: Chaim Weizmann, David Ben-Gurion and Theodor Herzl are three major indivuals that contributed in making Israel an independent nation. 





Now, let’s talk about important people that made contributions to the buildup of the state of Israel. In my opinion there are three major individuals that I would like to mention
.
This first person, David Ben-Gurion, I would explain him as the official founder of Israel; he had fought hard for the independence of this State and had succeeded as a result.  Ben-Gurion was the major Zionist leader and also the executive head of World Zionist Organization which supported the return and protection of Jewish people into Israel. He was the man who pushed and encouraged people into supporting Zionism and helping Israel onto its’ feet. When Israel became an independent state, he became the leader of the Provisional Government then Prime minister of the official government elected in 1949 and helped in building the state’s institution, over looked national projects and he also led the development of Israel.

The second person that became the first president of Israel is Chaim Weizmann. This was in the year 1949 through election and served until 1952 when he died. Weizmann was another leader of the Zionist Organization. He was associated with Britain, since during World War I, Weizmann became really close with the British leader and encouraged him to issue the Balfour Declaration which says:

Dear Lord Rothschild,
I have much pleasure in conveying to you, on behalf of His Majesty's Government, the following declaration of sympathy with Jewish Zionist aspirations which has been submitted to, and approved by, the Cabinet.
"His Majesty's Government view with favour the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people, and will use their best endeavours to facilitate the achievement of this object, it being clearly understood that nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine, or the rights and political status enjoyed by Jews in any other country."
I should be grateful if you would bring this declaration to the knowledge of the Zionist Federation.

The Balfour Declaration was to convince the British troops to support Jewish immigrants, migrating back into Israel. He also assumed that the Arabs would be happy to join the Jewish Commonwealth. Weizmann was indeed a man with determinations; he devoted a humongous portion of his life to enable Jewish people return to their homes and to make Israel an independent state.





One last person that cannot be ignored(at least I think he shouldn't be) is Theodor Herzl, he is known as the founder of Zionism. Without Herzl, there would be no one daring enough to fight for Jewish people. He made Zionism become officially a political movement and an international force. He taught his followers to realize that they are capable of fighting back and bring Jewish people back to their home land. He indeed became the first stepping stone for Ben-Gurion and Weizmann. He pointed out the direction for Israel toward independence. 







These three courageous and respectable men are the founder and builder of the independent State of Israel that we all see today. They gave up their lives to fight for their home and protection to all Jewish people, no matter how people may view them as rationally or irrationally.

HOW IT ALL STARTED (START HERE)


QUESTION:
1) How did the government emerge and what conditions led to its implementation?


THESIS: The provisional government was created due to the lack of any official government and protection from neighboring countries constantly launching attacks on the newly declared State of Israel.


Have you ever wondered about how the State of Israel came about as an independent nation? Well the story of struggle starts even before 1948, I would now trace the steps back to the time after World War 1. Right after World War 1, the British issued the Balfour Declaration claiming to be helping the Palestine to become a national home for Jewish people who were exiled. They established the British Mandate and ruled over Palestine. 

That was not it, the people living in Palestine itself unfortunately was not able to live together cooperatively due to the problem of land division. The Jewish people called Palestine, Israel. They are religiously connected to their home land and claimed that God gave it to them. Whereas, the Arabs and Palestinians also believe that the land was theirs. Because the British Mandate provides that it support the Jewish immigration, more and more Jews migrated back into Palestine both legally and illegally which increase the number of population in Palestine. However, the Arabs opposed the idea of Jewish immigration and started to attack the Jews. The British recommended partition of the country and once again the Jewish people agreed while Arabs rejected.


Another factor that led Israel to what it is today, one very tragic event World War II and the Holocaust. Now you may wonder about their contribution that affected Jewish people other than the slaughtering that happened, because on the brighter side it gave Theodore Herzl the determination to start his movement of Zionism. 



Zionism is basically the movement for the return of Jewish population to return to the Holy Land or Israel (which since the time of World War I, the number of Jewish immigrations still climbed). Herzl had came to a realization that Jewish will only be oppressed if nothing is done. After the Holocaust faded away, the British decided to leave Palestine and turned their issue over to the United Nation and terminated the British Mandate.





After consideration the United Nation recognized the state of Jewish people being able to stand alone and on May 14, 1948 declare independence to the State of Israel and partition from Palestine. Sadly, the Arabs in Palestine immediately launched attack on the newly declared state but Israel stood strong and coped with the challenges. The conflict between Arabs and Israel continues with more raiding and wars after wards. As for the government in Israel, Provisional Government started to take over the state temporarily until the official set of government gets elected.

                Basically, the Provisional government was formed to deal with the governing situation in Israel at that moment under the leadership of David Ben-Gurion

BREAKING THROUGH TO THE OTHER WORLD

Biology, what does it make you think of you see the word “biology”? I am sure that all of us must have taken the ‘Biology’ course for at least one time in our life right? You may think it is just the study of animals and people on their body system. But, it is a lot more than that. Biology is the study of living organisms, including their structure, function, growth, origin, evolutions and distribution. It is the study of yes, human and animals, but the range of living organisms are so big you cannot even imagine. Living organism can varies from the biggest animal on earth, to human, to plants, fish, reptiles to the smallest of living things such as cells and bacteria. Now, biology is also a journey, in which you will be able to explore inventions, theories and studies people have found out in the olden times. All of these people made contributions to all the knowledge we have on living things today. They led us into another big and complicated world.

And this is what this blog is going to be about. I would like to dedicate my blog to all explorers and scientists who have changed the way people view the world today. How about we get started now?
Ok, so in the very olden days, people tried not to hard, or did not really bother to learn about living things, since it was a topic out of reach. They only depended on religion and beliefs. Until the Black Plague hit and the church could not find a way to explain the event so people turned to science. From then on, science developed and became a liable source to explain phenomena.


So everything started in 1674 where the real journey began, Anton Van Leeuwenhoek, a microscope lens grinder accidentally observed microorganisms swimming around in a drop of water. After that point on, Leeuwenhoek started observing things human related such as sperm, bacteria and red blood cells. Leeuwenhoek’s microscopic lens opened doors for later generation of scientists to enter the world where we have yet explored.

In 1879, Walter Flemming watched animal cells divide and conclude the process of mitosis, then in 1884 August Weismann figured that sex cells must have divided differently and he established the process of meiosis. After that in the late 1900’s, several scientists collaborated into the discovery of cell differentiation which led to the isolation of human embryonic stem cells. Now, let me ask you a question, can you see a pattern there?
In the year 1937, Hans Krebs established the Krebs cycle, where he identifies steps cell takes to convert material into usable energy. Then came the study of hormones and photosynthesis of plants. Then the study of ecosystem and biodiversity of life.

Now, can you see a pattern? As we all can see, each findings, experiments and studies lead to many other, more complicated studies. It is apparent that the studies of life have been through many struggles, such as coming up with some good and sane ideas to run with, or proving theories to be correct. Those are not something you can think of one day when you wake up but through long years of exploring many aspects, experiments, and of course to keep on going when you do not have much support.
This is why I want to emphasize how much of a break-through the study of life and science has been and I am happy with what our ancestors have accomplished for the world.

MORAL RELATIVISM

Technology as we all know it may be the factor which accelerate our society into advancement. Many things branching of technology are efficient and fast some may just describe them as 'life', but again there are also equivalent price we have to pay. One process that pretty much express the progression of technology is plastic surgery.


Plastic surgery is a solution for the enhancement of beauty. Not every single human are blessed with beautiful body figure and pretty face, many people believe they are not at all attractive. Of course, you can't just change your looks because you are BORN with it, but plastic surgery gives you a way out. You can now change your appearance how ever YOU want it. This will give chances to people who are not so good-looking to have their time to shine and feel comfortable about themselves. Whether if you have big floppy belly, huge nose, small breasts, big jaw line or any other quality you dislike you can get rid of them! Turn from an ugly duckling into a swan!


BUT!! Hold on a second.

Plastic surgery obviously have their downsides too. Some people observe plastic surgery as immoral, why would you destroy or change the very thing your parents gave to you? People should be proud of who they are born to be, people should not be judged on how they look but rather their personality. Plus, getting plastic surgery can be very dangerous, some plastic surgeon may not be skillful of even consider a legit doctor at all. Sometimes patients may not receive the looks they want and may be even disfigured if the surgeon is not skillful. So, plastic surgeries are extremely risky, you can never predict the looks you will get after the surgery.

COMMUNICATION, ONE BIG JUMBLE OF STRINGS


         
 Communication is the exchange of information between people, through speaking, writing, music, picture, ideas or gesture. It requires a sender, message and recipient(s). As obvious as it is communication is a humongous factor in our life, it basically controls how we live and interacts with things or people around us. Communication derived from such simple things as: cave paintings, smoke single, Morse code, printing press and more. These give rises to many other following generation of more complex and efficient communicational technology in which shape up our lives. Today, communication is used everywhere, school, office, public places, stock markets just to name a few. In my opinion, communication is one of the biggest factors responsible for the improvement and connectivity of the whole world. My Modern World Studies teacher told me that stock markets only grow as much as communication lets it, but in MY opinion that theory does not apply to only stock markets, but to the entire world.


        As seen below, my group and I made an info-graphic on communication and we all know now through experience that it certainly was not easy. Obviously, planning of how to proceed is what we have to construct.
1)      We all searched up and look at examples of info-graphics other people have done to get some idea of which format we should follow and figure out how to make it presentable and interesting.
2)      One of my team mates decided that she is going to be the one doing the graphic part through photo-shop, while the rest will provide her with information, graphs, data tables, and the theme color.
3)      While the person working on photo-shop, the rest of us start listing types of communication since the olden days until the contemporary time.  Then we choose 15 most interesting ones and researched on them. Information we chose are things people don’t usually know but are interesting. All the links we got our information from are right are the bottom of the info-graphic (you should check some out, they are pretty cool!)
4)      Lastly, after all information are organized they are now paste into the info-graphic.




              Considering the amount of collaboration in our group, I would say that some has to do more work than others, but everyone got together quite nicely. The person who has to work with photo-shop and graphic things are obviously the person with most working to do (since info-graphic are based mainly on graphic). You may think graphic part could have been shared and helped, but the sad news is out of 3 people in the group, there is only one person who actually knows how to operate photo-shop. But the good thing about our group is that at least everyone contributed to the work. The rest of the people do researches on communication, find data and graphs.
                If I have to explain my info-graphic and how its’ information effect the present opinion regarding technology then I would simply say that the growing of technology from the ancient time has been quite a climb. From the info-graphic it is apparent that technologies in the early times were not as efficient or sophisticated as the modern days. People in the early time must have had worked really hard and put in extreme thoughts to come up with those ideas, it is harder for them than inventors from the mid 1700 or 1800 since in that time inventors develop new inventions from the past existing technology or adopting existing ideas. Modern technology today mainly derived from past inventions.
                Now, making info-graphic for my Modern World Studies is not completed but let’s go back and reconsider some things that worked and did not work. Of course our info-graphic is not completely trash but it is not perfect either. First of all, I think the colors and design worked quite fine, the result looks presentable and interesting. It was hard deciding which color to use, since we really have to mind the color contrast of the background and the text themselves (or else they would not be readable). Secondly, the information used were not history-book-boring, we found many fascinating facts. Thirdly, the thing that did not quite worked, was the narrow shape of the info-graphic. It was too narrow that we were not able to fit extra graphs and data tables, so that was a disadvantage our info-graphic holds.
Why are info-graphics so popular at the moment? I have found out, after researching for examples that info-graphics are booming right now. In my opinion, the reason for that is because of good qualities the info-graphic itself holds. These qualities would be factors which hold viewers interested such as: information, data, graphs, pie charts, visuals, texts and design. Personally, I do not like the method of reading lots of texts to gain knowledge, but rather learn those information through visuals. That is exactly that info-graphics are for, they provide interesting information, charts and visuals to make want to know more about the topic and therefore have a better understand of the big picture.
Lastly, I just want to say that without communication us human would not be able to develop this far. We should just take a moment right now to THANK all of the contributors and inventors for taking a part in advancing our society and making our lives so much easier.

A part of the world I didn't know about...


For the past six weeks, my modern world studies class had been exploring the unit of belief system focusing mainly on Buddhism, Christianity, Judaism and Islam. Many perspective and differences between these religions were studied and it made me realized how religion holds such a big part of our daily life. Even though people may say ‘I don’t have any religion’ in my opinion that is almost impossible or REALLY hard to do since religion play many roles in our everyday. 


                One of the examples is: In class my friends and I discussed about the topic of whether same sex marriage should be allowed or not. I learned a lot from that. Specifically those who believe in the church are taught that God made human, and gifted them with marriage therefore babies to continue their generation. From that religious practitioners believe that it is morally wrong to disgrace God’s gift to humanity. I’ve found two opposing point of view in one of the blog posts in a website:
For those of you who honestly believe thatbeing gay is a choose, let's take a spin on it from my personal experience ofcoming out. It has literally been the worst experience in my life in how muchstress it caused and still causes me, but I have never been happier. First ofall, you all argue of how any gay kid is not religious nor could ever know god,but I grew up in the LDS church for the first 18 years of my life. I grew upstrongly believing that homosexuality was wrong, all I wanted was to live a'normal' life. Normal in the sense of what mormons consider normal. Marriagebetween a man and a woman, having children, etc. Up until my first year ofmiddle school, I was perfectly fine with the morals I was taught and neverfound any reason to doubt it. This was also the first year I came to experiencethese "terrible, disgusting" feelings of being gay. Somewhere in theback of my mind, I knew I was gay, but being raised under the family and valuesI was, I felt it was my duty and responsibility to fight off these feelings andensure that I never acted on them. For seven years, yes, seven years, all theway up until my freshman year of college, I suppressed these feelings and puton a straight face for all of my friends and family. In reality though, I wascompletely disgusted with myself. I hated having to fight everyday to be"normal", and I didn't understand how it was fair that God createsomeone like me and expect me to go through life pretending I am someone I amnot; pretending not to be the person he created. Let me say, not many peoplecan begin to understand the pain I went through, mostly emotional. Fighting offhomosexuality is not just a time to time battle. It is a fight that takes placeEVERY single moment of EVERY single day. Do you know, why? Because just likebeing straight, being gay is what you are. For those who say that they haveovercome being gay and gone to marry a woman and have children, I am trulysorry. Because even when I felt like I had the upperhand on my feelings, theywould always come back, ALWAYS. Sometimes 100X times stronger than before. Itwasn't until college that I finally realized what I was doing. What was the pointof all the years of fighting the feelings? There was not one. Once I had gottenaway from the constant influence of my church every sunday as well as thevalues of my family, it was so clear that I was fighting my feelings notbecause I personally thought it was bad, but because I was being influenced byexternal factors. After that I was able to come out to one of my friends forthe first time. It was no easy thing, and in the coming weeks I still didn'tknow if I had made the right choice. But as I came out to more people, Irealized something. Although there are people who would/did severe ourconnection because of my choice, there is always someone new to meet who willbe perfectly fine with you, love you for you. Gay people are just as normal as everyoneelse, they love, they cry, they laugh, they smile, they..... feel! Honestlythough people, why would anyone choose to be gay?! Why would ANYONE on thisplanet choose to go through the all the public hate and bashing we receive? Howis it anyone's right to deny marriage to us? Now before I go into that, let mefirst make everyone aware of every piece of info. In my life at college, awayfrom home, I am out and everyone around me knows that, but in no way does myfamily know about the decision I have made. Think not telling able to tell myfamily who I really am sucks, just listen. I already know their response tothis. My family would completely cut me off, my parents would kick me out ofthe house, and would no longer support me in any way. I know this for a factand have accepted this, so there is no point in wasting your time with youroptimistic points of view. In what world is it right where parents will openlyreject their children because they choose to be who they are? Not only is thisterrible, but growing up in the church, I made several of my closest friendsthere, and the second I came out to them, they would respond with just as muchrejection as my family. How is that right? Be aware though, I am in no waysaying that this is the case for every kid, but only for me specifically. Backto the point though. Most people would agree (obviously the ridiculouslyreligious wouldn't) that the rejection of friends and children for being gay isabsolutely terrible. So how is it any better to reject an idea when it has noeffect on anyone else whatsoever? How exactly is me marrying the man I love orany other gay couple going to destroy anyone elses life? Are we going to cometo your home and force you to watch us make love in front of you? Do we go aroundtrying to force others to be gay? (<---Not that this is even possiblebecause like I have said, you don't choose to be gay.) In no way would ourmarriage affect you, and you are completely absurd if you think so. Marriageshould be allowed to be with any two people who love each other. Woman andwoman, man and man, woman and man. It is all the same. Who can doubt love? Ihope that people open their minds one day and look at how much more pain theircausing rather than the help some are supposed to be giving as religious peoplewho act from God.

                As you can see, the man in here represents the association of human and religious influence. He grew up in a Church thinking that same sex marriage is probably the worst thing ever. Thinking that it’s wrong and disgusting. His parents to, is totally against the subject of homosexuality. Then in high school he has come to a realization that he is in fact gay himself. He was disgusted with himself at first that this is really happening to him. This man talks about how his family would cut him out of the family and want to absolutely abandon him. This effectively shows us how influential the Church is to his family and himself.

                Another example is of a friend of mine, he is fully against the idea of same sex marriage. He thought that homosexuals asking for legalize marriage is too much. He thinks the world have already given them enough, letting them be together and not hurt them is already enough given. He is another portrayal of how he is affected by the way he was raised, therefore religion that his parents and himself follow.
                This passage is important to me because I am a part of this world. I have many friends that are homosexuals and they are all good people, but others of strong belief often discriminate them and so this topic is quite meaningful to me.

                Basically a person who follows the church strictly thinks it’s super inappropriate to go against God’s teaching, end of story.  This may be just some everyday life situation, but that is exactly the point I’m trying to make. Religion take parts in many of the aspect in our life and in the website I pulled the blog out of shows that there are many teenagers and adults out there who thinks gays and homosexual people are faulty. Some of which does not even know the reason, but because they were taught that way, gay people disgust them for no reason. Belief system tell us how to live our lives, in this case ‘don’t be something else God didn’t make you to be’. The Bible says that if you don’t have complete faith and follow Christianity completely then you will not earn your salvation. That is how religion guides our life.

                Of course, I wrote this blog not to offend any homosexuals or Christian people. I’m just simply trying to elaborate the fact that religion shape so much of our life. Its’ involvement make the world we are living in today. I’ve never really taken religion into much deep thoughts and now that I have it led me into another world, with better understanding.

BIG NEW YEAR BIG MOVEMENT

Today, the 23rd of January 2012. Is that in some way or another have some significance to you?  Well if it doesn’t, let me give you some hints. It’s the day where people go home and celebrate with their families, pray to their ancestors, clean their house, light up fire crackers, give red envelope filled with money to the youngsters and go to temples, especially Chinese people. It’s CHINESE NEW YEAR!! For Chinese people their real new year is actually TODAY and you may wonder why I’m writing about it in my blog, well that’s because (first of all) I’m Thai part Chinese and secondly, the time of Chinese New Year have caused the biggest human migration as well!


                People from all over China travel to see their parents and family in time of the New Year celebration, as we all know China has HUMONGOUS amount of people. Anyone who visits China at this time of the year would all be surprised, not because of the beautiful decorations and food all around but the insane amount of people! It would be easy if these crowds would last for a few days, but believe it or not the places stay as crowded as can be for about 40 DAYS!


                Can you imagine the number of people migrating at this time? 235 MILLION PEOPLE. Yea that’s right TWO HUNDRED THIRTY FIVE MILLION PEOPLE migrating at the same time. How would you like to mingle and squeeze yourself through that much amount of people? Of course overcrowding isn’t the only problem, but it is the main cause of the following problems such as: tickets of planes and railway trains are sold out real quick, not enough for 235 million people to migrate in time, consequentially making them angry. You may say, why not book your seats on internet a month before? The answer is, you can’t, since not many Chinese adults use them and for those that do know how to use the internet there are still obstacles. There were times when the booking website got 1.4 million hits or close and that often crash the system. Most people have to buy walk-in tickets, again these lines are not short and quick. Some people have to wait for hours to finally get their chance to reserve seats for their family and themselves, only to find out later that all that’s left are standing tickets in a crowded train on a trip over 40 hours.

                As for all of you bloggers and readers that are not Chinese what are you opinion? If it was me, I would say “This is the craziest and insane thing I’ve ever heard in my life, I have never imagine Chinese New Year to be this troublesome and tiring.” Why would anyone stand on a train for 40 hours, just to go eat dinner? But on the other hand, this is exactly what makes Chinese New Year so unique and beautiful. It is the time where people go home and reunited with their parents after working for the whole year and enjoying the pretty feeling in the air. Even though the path way there may be filled with troubles but in my opinion what you get out of it is worth going through all that problems.

HOW WAS LAST YEAR?

Happy New Year 2012 to all of you bloggers and readers, say good bye to 2011 and welcome to year 2012 where the Mayans have predicted to be the end to the world (21st December 2012). Despite the increasing natural catastrophes, climates changes which result in the downfall of economic, the world is moving faster than ever in the improvement of technology and politic. This New Year 2012 may result in numerous ways that can either affect the people positively or negatively, unfortunately we have absolutely no way to know for sure. However the future can be determined by the past, looking back into year 2011 we can know slightly how things can turn out.

                A significant event that I would use to sum up the whole year of 2011 would be the death of our genius inventors Steven Paul Jobs. This one man is known worldwide as a pioneer of the personal computer revolution. He is also the co-founder and chief executive officer of popular product where in the year 2009 had about 80 MILLION and more people using one of their laptop products, Apple Inc


       Many people are familiar with iPhone and iPod, we see them everywhere everyday of our lives and this man we are talking about here is the man that improves these products. These objects have become a huge part of our life, because it is the main source that opened us into the world of communication. One only their phones and laptops are used in calling other people near and far it also enables us (including iPod touch products) to stay updated and connected to the internet! Nowadays internet filled the humongous hole in the world of communication completely, you can even talk to your friend half way across the world from your comfy bed in a matter of second through internet. Because products of Apple are widely used, it took a big role in enabling people to stay connected.


                Last year on the 5th ofOctober 2011, Steven Paul Jobs our great man died at the age of 56. It was so sudden that it left the whole world shocked. Everyone wondered about what would happen to the next and onwards generations of Apple? Even though there are still other great people working along the side of Jobs but his death have left a big hole in the company and the world of communication. His loss left all of the customers thinking, how would Apple product continue? Will the company survive without the great leadership ofSteve Jobs? How would the communication be affected? Because he was in charge of so many contribution to technology, which has become vital factor in our everyday lives these days his death would affect us as well.
